Skudeneshavn – the perfect finale!
Our final destination for the year was Skudeneshavn on Karmøy. This historic fishing village turned sailing town hosts the Skudefestival, where Hestmanden was featured with both open ship access and performances. Karmøy offered us nearly every type of weather above freezing level, which likely contributed to the good turnout on board. Our regular performances quickly sold out, and Friday’s additional show was also nearly full.
With this, our voyage for the year has come to an end, and we want to extend a BIG THANK YOU to everyone who came to see the performance. We also want to thank the fantastic crew aboard Hestmanden, everyone from the Vest-Agder Museum who joined the journey, and the seamen’s associations and other local supporters who helped generate positive attention around our visit.
